đ Ohio senator introduces measure to eliminate dual citizenship
âSen. Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio) has introduced a bill to establish that citizens of the United States âmust have sole and exclusive allegiance to the U.S.â Critics warn the proposal is discriminatory and unconstitutional, targeting immigrant communities and naturalized citizens. The actions by the Senator have ignited a statewide debate about belonging, identity, and the rising push to narrow the definition of who counts as âAmerican.â â The Hill
đŤ Kristi Noem urges sweeping new US travel ban after fatal DC shooting
Homeland Security Secretary, Kristi Noem, is pushing broad travel restrictions following the killing of a National Guard member, echoing Trumpâs hardline approach. The increasing militarization of state responses and the rise in civil-rights violations should concern all of us. While the shooting is tragic, the evidence points to an isolated act by one individual â not an attack by any nation or its citizens. Banning entire groups of people without cause is yet another example of the authoritarianism defining Trump and his administration. â The Guardian
đ§ An âatmosphere of fearâ surrounds child care after ICE detention
Child-care workers and parents are reporting widespread fear after federal agents detained a respected childcare employee, causing staff shortages and leaving multiple centers struggling to stay open. Families now worry that routine drop-offs could lead to immigration enforcement disruptions, destabilizing essential care services. The incident highlights how crackdowns can ripple through communities, harming children and undermining trusted caregiving networks. Detaining a teacher at her school is one more disturbing sign of the authoritarian, fascist regime Trump is building. â The Seattle Times
đď¸ Several protesters arrested after ICE raid thwarted in New York City
Demonstrators blocked ICE vehicles from leaving a parking lot by using garbage bags and metal barriers. According to The New York Times, Saturdayâs confrontation unfolded on the edge of Manhattanâs Chinatown, where U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents were assembling alongside the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Community leaders warn that these aggressive tactics are eroding trust and inflicting long-term trauma on immigrant neighborhoods. These raids on our communities are a textbook example of the authoritarian, fascist direction Trump has taken this country.â The Guardian
â ICE is targeting workers. Hereâs how employers and unions are fighting back.
In response to escalating workplace raids, unions and employers are organizing rapid-response systems, legal hotlines, and collective bargaining provisions designed to protect undocumented and mixed-status workers. Some workplaces are conducting know-your-rights trainings and refusing to voluntarily cooperate with federal agents without warrants. Labor advocates argue that defending workers from raids is essential to safeguarding workplace rights for everyone. Despite the Trump administration embracing authoritarian, fascist tactics that threaten us all, it is good to see others stepping up to lead and protect our communities.â Truthout
Urgent Calls to Action to hold ICE accountable:
When leaders escape accountability, it signals that powerânot justiceârules, eroding trust, fueling corruption, and opening the door to authoritarianism. Billionaire-backed justices and elites aren't serving the peopleâtheyâre scheming to suppress our voices, strip away our rights, and rule over us. But progress and power to the people is more than an idea; itâs a movement. By standing up, speaking out, and demanding dignity, opportunity, and justice for all, we can build an America that truly lives up to its promise.

ICEbreaker News: The Fight to End Cruelty, Detention, and Fear
ICE isnât just a rogue agencyâitâs part of a larger system of state violence that targets immigrants, tears families apart, and undermines our most basic human rights. Empowered by far-right lawmakers, ICE operates with impunity, weaponizing fear and surveillance to criminalize entire communities.
Fueled by anti-immigrant hate and backed by extremist agendas, ICE's operations reflect a broader push toward authoritarianism. Mass raids, indefinite detentions, secretive deportations, and collaboration with local police all feed into a system designed to intimidate, control, and erase. These tactics donât make us saferâthey make us less free.
ICEâs Pattern of Harm Includes:
Targeting immigrant families through mass raids and surveillance
Detaining asylum seekers in inhumane, for-profit facilities
Collaborating with local law enforcement to bypass sanctuary protections
Abusing detainees and violating basic rights and due process
Using fear to silence communities and suppress dissent
Advancing policies rooted in xenophobia and white nationalism
We Must Act:
ICE is not just enforcing lawsâitâs violating them. Itâs time to dismantle the cruelty, end the detentions, and protect our communities. We must organize, resist, and demand a future rooted in dignity, justice, and liberation for all.
Join us. Speak out. Hold ICE accountable. Together, we can break the cycle of fear.
